The Sunshine Blogger Award: Part 2

I’ve been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award again! I feel so blessed and honored! This time the nomination comes from fellow blogger Catherine Mellen! Catherine Mellen is a personal blogger. The purpose of her blog, Shatter the Silence/A Life Given to Me, is for her to share traumatic experiences from her childhood. Her message is you don’t have to be ashamed of what you’ve been through, and do not let anyone keep you from telling your truth. Get to know her and read her story here.

Questions from Catherine Mellen

  1.  How often do you navigate to other Blogs & do you interact?

I interact very often with other bloggers actually! I also visit many other blogs too! For bloggers, supporting each other is key! Plus, I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them through their blogs!

2) Do your love ones support your Blog?

I don’t talk all that much about my blog with my friends and family. I’m too shy to! My friends and family don’t read my blog posts or give likes or comments, but but the ones who do know about my blog give lots of encouragement, and listen to me talk about my blog (I bragged a lot about this sunshine blogger award)!

3) Are you embarrassed of your Blog?

Not at all! The very opposite actually! I’m very proud of my blog! I hesitated when starting my blog, because I wasn’t completely sure how comfortable I would feel sharing some of the things I’ve shared in my posts. That’s the closest I’ve come to embarrassment. However, I’m very glad I went through with starting a blog, and I’m am so happy with the wonderful feedback I’ve been getting so far! The support from the blogging community is beyond amazing!

4) If you had a choice to Blog for life or publish one book for life… Which would you choose?

Hard! Very hard! I can’t choose! If I really had to choose one though, I would probably pick to blog for life. Can I cheat and write a little about any stories I might write on my blog? I don’t have to publish them! I just want people to know they exist!

5) Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall?

Winter please! The spring and fall seasons are too erratic! One day it’s too warm, the next day it’s cool. One day it’s sunny, the next day it’s raining. I can’t deal with that! Winter and summer are consistent. Winter is always cold, and summer is always hot. There’s normally no second guessing the weather! I can’t handle the heat though, so winter it is!

6) Wine or Weed?  Can’t be both

Interesting question! I’ve actually never had any of either!

7) How many websites do you share your Blog too?

I actually I have several social media accounts for my blog. However, I’ve been focusing on Pinterest, Facebook and a Twitter.

8) How often do you Blog?

I don’t have a set blogging schedule yet. I’m still working that. So far I’ve been putting out around two posts per month, but mostly my posting pattern has been a bit erratic.

9) Favorite Blogging Platform?

As in my favorite site to for publishing my posts? Since becoming a blogger I’ve heard of several platforms, however, the ones I know best are blogger and WordPress. I started my blogging journey on blogger, but blogger wasn’t working for me. I decided to move to WordPress, and I’m so glad I did! My blogging experience improved instantly after the switch!

10) Do you agree 11 questions are too many? 🤣

😂 Well, it definitely helps give the post some length!

11) Any summer fun plans?

Not really! I just plan on relaxing and having fun! I’m not looking forward to the heat though!

    1. Thankyou so much! 😁💕 And you’re l welcome! I really love your blog too! I actually visited and left comments some time ago when we met on Facebook, but I think I had trouble getting my comments through! That’s been happening to me a lot lately for some reason! 😢

  2. i feel like answering your questions:
Which of your blog posts is your favorite?
    – currently, Welcome To My Thoughts: A Review of the Eloise Hospital (i read my friend’s blogpost on this haunted hospital and my comment reached way over the character limit, so i put it in a blog post instead.)
    – Art: A Surprise – 2 (it doesnt have pictures of my art, but it talks about what ive been up to lately)
    – Got Bloggers?: Blogger #9 (since reading a friend’s blog post, i kinda found new meaning in my life and it has made me a better person, and got me out of the slump ive been having this year.)
    – Dear Future Husband: Letter #26 (i really talked about what bugs me in a relationship and what im really sick of.)

    What is your favorite color?
    – pink

    What is your favorite food?
    – honey ham

Do you have a secret talent?
    – one of my eyes sucks at going crosseyed so when i go crosseyed, it looks really crazy. but im not sure if that’s a talent or not.

Which season (spring, winter, summer, fall) is your favorite?
    – summer

What song would be your theme or anthem?
    – probably the Lonesome Loser by Little River Band

    Who is your favorite celebrity?
    – i cant just pick one, mostly because i have favorite actors/actresses, i have favorite athletes, favorite singers/bands, etc.

    1. I’ll definitely have to checkout your favorite blog posts! They sound so interesting! I’ve never heard the song “the lonesome loser” i’ll have to check that out too! Why is it your theme song? I love Happy Feet too! Have you seen part 2? Loved it! It was beautiful! I think blogging is therapeutic too! Also, The Paradise Series is an interesting title! Sounds intriguing! Sometimes when a place is called Paradise it’s anything but a paradise! 😂

      Liked by 1 person

      1. The Paradise Series has 3 books: Showdown, Saint, and Sinner. which comes from a bigger series called The Circle Series that have 4 books: Black Red White and Green. – ted dekker majority of his books all coexist with each other, like parts of his books are off other books and all that.

i picked the “lonesome loser” because of the lyrics and the song is catchy. ♪Have you heard about the Lonesome Loser?
Beaten by the Queen of Hearts every time.
Have you heard about the Lonesome Loser?
He’s a loser but he still keeps on trying. ♪ – i dunno i feel like a loser majority of the time because im not popular or do what everyone else does. song:

i have seen part 2 of happy feet, but each time i watch it i remember why i didnt like it. the first one was sooo much better.

      2. A series? I love a good book series! Is it good?
😂 Happy Feet 2 was that bad to you huh? 😂

I actually think you’re really cool, and the fact that you don’t go along with the crowd makes you unique! 😁

        Liked by 1 person

      3. i was pretty much hooked on ted dekker books, to the point my dreams were part of them too. but my eyes kinda went on me, and ive been unable to read a book in over a decade. even with having eye surgery for implant lenses i still am unable to read a book. i do miss reading his books, i have a lot of unread books that’s part of my book collection. the whole thing is depressing to me honestly, so ive given a lot of book series away to people (like when i was on vacation.)

happy feet 2 was just weird, i did like all the krill talk and what not. but the first one had more singing and dancing in my eyes.

i think you’re pretty cool too and i love that you notice me and it’s like each day we talk, which is pretty amazing in my eyes.

      4. You have vision problems? Oh wow! How do you do your beautiful art?

Lol. I think the Krill conversations were some of my favorite parts of Happy Feet two!

Awww! Talking with you is so fun!

      5. im always curious on how i do my art and somehow i get it done. however i do wish i can paint or draw what actually is in my head, but instead i get whatever it wants to do with itself. like i let the paint, paint itself and go from there.

most of my watercolour paintings are actually really small. but they just look big because of how i take the picture. and i prefer to paint them while im outside so i can get better lighting you could say. and it helps with my double vision and blurriness and other crap i see.

and while i paint inside using acrylics mostly, i have a setup that i do or prefer to help me with my vision and do my art as well. like i sit on my bed, and i either have one or two lights on.

im really close to my paintings now that im looking back on how i paint. which is why for acrylics i always have paint on myself. and for watercolours, i stretch a lot because i start hurting or my legs go numb.

ive adapted to life at a young age, so i do thinks say “my way” and i sit a certain position or i do things completely different from everyone else. but i get stuff done.

      6. Oh wow that’s so inspiring! Your bad vision doesn’t hold you back from doing what you love!

Lol. I’m the same, but when it comes to writing! lol. I might have an idea of how I might want my blog post to come out, but when I finish it’s almost nothing like how I pictured it would sound! Funny how creativity works that way! You just let it flow, and the finished product may not be how you planned, but it still a wonderful piece of art to be proud of! Sometimes it comes out even better than how you originally imagined it!

      7. agreed. i was writing a blog post (still am actually) and i ended up writing another blog post within that blog post. so i had to move that blog post i was writing over to another blog of mine, finish that post off, and go back to the blog post i originally had started. and just writing this comment made me realized i didnt add you to my reading list. such a bad friend i am. ill get on that, so i can add you to a blog post im trying to finish.

yeah i do what i can with the eyes i have and the life i live. tv is the worst with this vision of mine, but ive found a way to make it less worse, which is using subtiles. netflix subtiles are white so you can see through them basically. but the tv subtiles are white font with a black highlight and that blocks parts of the show you are watching. but hey, at least im only seeing one tv screen.

and when i was in glasses, i couldnt read subtiles because my vision was so bad. so no matter what happens, ill always have crappy vision, and i have to adapt to it.

      8. 😂😂 Writing can be like that sometimes! It happens to me too! I think “Maybe this should part shouldn’t be part of this post, but maybe it will make a good topic for another post”. 😂Looks like we have overactive minds! But at least we hardly run out of ideas! 😂

Awww! What happened to your eyes? Why is your vision so bad? And yay! Thankyou for mentioning me in a blog post! 🥰

        Liked by 1 person

      9. i have so many blog posts about my crappy eyesight. but im really near sightedness almost going blind, which is why i needed to get surgery so i didnt go blind. but even with the implants my eye balls are still really bad because the implants just added a lense it didnt fix the eye ball.

and with all my health crap using glasses was making it even harder on me, because i couldnt wear most forms of glasses, it had to be a certain way each time. and it added far too much weight onto my face and gave me even more vision problems. and now with my implants i still have all those vision problems among new vision problems from the implants.

ill always have vision problems until im dead.

      10. You talk about it on your blog? Now I’m the one being a bad friend! 😂 But wow! That’s crazy! It’s seems like the doctors can’t do much. That’s terrible! And it sounds like it’s getting worse! I hope there’s a way to keep you eye sight stable, so you don’t lose your vision completely!

      12. if im on down the road again of losing my eyesight and nothing is working to help me, ill get surgery again to get a fresh pair of lens implants. i personally dont recommend people getting this surgery unless it’s their last resort. like if you are going blind. but i also miss my glasses because at least i could remove them, be blurry so damn much and just sleep. i cant remove these lenses from my eyeballs to take a break from all the crap i see. but hey, that’s my life, im the unicorn of the world.

        Liked by 1 person

      13. Awww! I definitely agree! I wouldn’t suggest surgery unless absolutely necessary! I notice that doctors are often extremely hesitant to go the surgery route. If it’s not broken, don’t fix! That’s a saying I always hear! Lol. I hope you won’t have to get surgery done again!

A unicorn, I love that! It’s definitely a beautiful way to say unique!
